From the History of ISSUES: "A Woman's Place"
September 11, 1982:
Our brother Bishops seem to be trying their best to provide female images, if not actually female presence in the House of Bishops, perhaps inspired by the various gifts of a certain T-shirt. We have had reference to umbilical cords, giving birth, a prayer that, “We be not like porridge, slow to warm and hard to stir, but like cornflakes, always prepared and ready to serve” and the ever present inspiration of Bishop Wes Frensdorff and his needlepoint. We thank you, reverend gentleman, but why not try the real thing?
